Optimal Simulation for Entrance Channel software OSEC2017 has been developed and applied to:
- Optimal design of channel depth.
- Optimal planning design of channel alignment.
- Operation of approach channel to enhance the efficiency of cargo handling.
However, there is a need for development of OSEC2017, includes:
- This method is applied to the channel depth concern only, channel width should be included at the same manner for channel operation;
- Early real time predicting model of wave conditions should be connected; and
- Effort on development of risk based model of wave response which is more reliable than one used in this software.
Researcher, personal or organization are welcomed to cooperate with author for this work, especially student, engineer and expert in the field of port and waterway engineering.
